Roy LaVerne Brooks: Equal and Fair Justice for all People

Roy LaVerne Brooks has been serving the people for over 30 years. She has educated children within Fort Worth ISD, provided care and mentorship to families while serving as Education Director at Mental Health Associates, counseled families and patients as chaplain at local hospitals and hospices, served on our transportation board, and provided valuable insight to local, state, and national politicians. She has served as the Texas Democratic Vice-Chair and has been listed in the "Who's Who in Ameircan Politics". Roy LaVerne Brooks holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Divinity. She has also served within the city's department of Recreation as a Program Director. She has not only created several summer camps, afterschool programs, and community activities, but provided hands-on guidance to her staff and co-workers. Roy LaVerne has also servedon several local, state, and national committes, to which, she exhibited leadership qualities, compassion, and tenacity toward the pending goal. Roy LaVerne Brooks understands the complexity of government and the continued absence of common sense within it.

PERSONAL

Roy Laverne was raised in Fort Worth Texas with her parents Leroy & Artelia Wilson, and her siblings, Ruby and Leroy Jr.. Roy LaVerne graduated from Como High School in Fort Worth, Tx and went on to Prairie View A&M University. She also has a Master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Roy LaVerne has one son and three children grandchildren. Roy LaVerne has been an active member of her community and church, The Potters House, and currently works in the Fort Worth School System.
